The Ice Cave is the place where Sarda the Sage told the Light Warriors to go next after they had gotten the Fire Orb to him. This was where the Doom Cultists first appeared to stop them because they happened to have trespassed into their arctic underground base. Unbeknownst to the Light Warriors, Sarda had sent them there to pick up a Cold-Fusion Generator, which they failed to return with.
