The Creative Commons License[]
Basically, under the Creative Commons License that Wikia is under, you may freely share and adapt the work to fit Sardapedia appropriately. You only need to do the following things:
- You must attribute the work to whoever created it (i.e.: 8-bit Theater was created by Brian Clevinger).
- When sharing whatever you put in this wiki elsewhere, it must also be under this license or something similar.
Unless you've got the author's permission to do so, you can ignore the above two conditions. Otherwise, the work is under fair use. We are a not-for-profit, informative wiki, not a business.
Wikipedia (or TOW, however you wanna call it) uses the Creative Commons license. Using the same license as that site makes it easy for Wikia users to reuse the content from Wikipedia. You must adhere to the CC license when using Wikipedia content.

Though you can't upload an entire comic page, you may upload a snippet of that page. For webcomics, it's fine if you leave speech bubbles intact. For published not-free comics (like Atomic Robo), you must blank out speech bubbles to avoid spoilers.
If you're unsure about using a particular image or work from an author, ask them first (Brian's a nice guy, he won't bite if you write a decent email). Images in the public domain are aight, you can use them whenever you want.
