Shady Oaks Retirement is an elderly retirement home in Corneria. It is known to have at least two old men living there and it includes a bartender. The children at a centre next door does charity work for the elderly.

Black Mage visits Shady Oaks when locating the old man who took his and Fighter's money in exchange for false information on the Armor of Invincibility. He proceeded to massacre all the old men that live here with a casting of Bolt-2. He spares the Bartender's life after telling him that the old man he was looking for was not there, as the inhabitants have not left Shady Oaks for ten years.
